Blush is owned and operated by Holly Yaskowsky with great help from her husband Michael. After her 2003 wedding, Holly was investigating options on what to do with her gown. She could keep it hanging in her closet for the next 50 years, pay hundreds of dollars to have it preserved so it could sit in a box under her bed for 50 years, or she could try to sell it. After an attempt at selling her gown, Holly began to do some research on consignment shops and found that very few specialized in wedding apparel, and those that did were in large cities several hours away.

After much more research and building a relationship with the owner of one such shop in Maryland, Holly and Mike took on the task of opening Blush in Newport News. Holly wants to give recent brides the chance to recoup part of the cost of their gown - and she plans to sell her own gown in the shop as well! The Port Warwick development offered them the unique opportunity to purchase a retail location and live above their shop. This was especially important to Holly in being able to work with brides with varying schedules. Holly is dedicated to bringing this new way of bridal gown shopping to Hampton Roads. She also understands the importance of the purchase and whether you are a young bride just out of college, a second-time bride looking for something a little more simple, a military bride with a wedding moved up on short notice due to orders, or anyone in between, Blush will give you the experience you've been hoping for while shopping for your bridal gown!
